Finished watching the 2nd season of GITS SAC the other day. I've been watching way too much anime lately. The side stories in season 2 are generally crap, the worst for me personally was the Full Metal Jacket rip off. The sniper is watching motoko and constantly commenting to himself how if she gets close she'll kill him. So instead of shooting at her when the characters are charging at him, he kills off the generic characters who were introduced in that episode. Like no one saw that coming.
Another cringe worthy scene is the coast guard stoping a terrorist they think is importing nuclear material for a bomb. After shooting up his boat and having pretty much caught him they are distracted by a power cut on shore. Then he manages to swim away. They must have been distracted for a pretty long time...
But the series is pretty sweet overall. I'd say less good than season 1 but at least now the major is wearing pants so your less likely to wonder why the police are following orders from some random hooker. Aesthetically its quite superior. The studio finally got the balance between the cgi and traditional cell stuff right.
I'm just talking crap to get the outdated news off my journal...

It winded up being too long and I had to cut out a bit. So I'm not happy with it but too lazy to change anything.
