For his old man used to work on these and now teaches others how to. Which sounds like a wicked job.

The Grumman EA-6B prowler is a four seat electronic warfare modification of the A-6 intruder attack aircraft. They are built around the AN/ALQ-99F tactical jamming system and are designed as an electronic escort and command and control platform for strike missions though they are also capable of attacking surface targets on their own, especially radars, SAM launchers, and other enemy defenses. (bit many ands there for a well written sentence. 0 _ 0 )
The aircraft is also highly capable of conducting electronic intelligence (ELINT) collection.

This prowler has the gold plated canopys (though you probably can't see them) that were adopted as a crew protection measure against microwave emissions from the ECM equipment. There is also a radiation symbol on the nose to help landing signal Officers defferentiate Prowlers from Intruders when they are viewed head on during landing approach.

I also read that radiation symbol is because the systems are so powerful they can actually fry people if they walk in front f the machine while it's systems are on, so they never turn its jamming systems on while its on the deck

Mmmm....Prowler. IMO the plane was ugly when I first saw it, but now the damn thing has sort of grown on me (also, I understand everything looks good in its own right)
Nice setting too ^^ I love aircraft carriers :D Erm, I mean, love the Prowler too :nod:

Impressive, now work on blending the shading so it looks more realistic zoomed in. Darken the darks and lighten the lights.

I usually use those paper stick things. Though this image is old so its probably before I started doing that.
